Pewter Candlesticks
Not a pair, although they are of the same design and period. Baluster form, hollow cast in three parts and attached internally with pewter solder. Both are unmarked, unpolished and exhibit great character of age; dents, scuffs, soulful patina and wear in all the right places. 4 ½ inches tall, 2 ¾ inches wide. 18th century, European. I once bought a larger one at an antiques shop on Sao Miguel (Ponta Delgada) in the Azores. These candlesticks came from an estate in St. Louis, Missouri.
