From my personal collection of hourglasses. Made of pine and retaining its original attic finish. Two turned disks supported by three rounded columns and a blown glass joined double lobe timer with pale red coral sand. It runs for five minutes and could have been used for cooking or chemistry or…  3 inches tall, some ink stains on one disc, which is also marked “5” in pencil. Late 19th century. Possibly English.
