American Pattern Molded Pitcher

Quart size, made of colorless glass with a truncated body and ten flutes. There are two tooled rings below the rim, applied solid strap handle with five crimps and a curl, bottom has a rough pontil mark. Slight wear to leading edges, overall condition is excellent. Once owned by the noted antiquarian, Peter Tillou of Litchfield, Connecticut. 7 ¾ inches tall. In the Pittsburg Glass book this form is attributed to Bakewell or Page and Bakewell and was made before 1850.
